A Lollipop Shape Challenge

Image
Good morning all..it's Monday so another new challenge over at Lollipop Crafts .  Our great sponsorthis week is Just Some Lines and they gave us some images to work with.  We're doing a non square/rectangle card/project this week...so if you have one that has a shape to it, make sure you enter it into our challenge on the blog. Here is mine this week I cut the shape out using my A Child's Year cartridge on my cricut.  That cart is great for cutting out shapes.  For something different, I had tried coloring the images using my chalks and my blender pen...It didn't work out quite the way I wanted it to, other than in the hair, so I went over the images with my glitter and stickles instead because the shine matched the bit of glitter in the DP I used.  To finish it off, I just used some buttons and flowers in my stash, a die cut butterfly that was white and inked green and then a few pearls.  The stamped sentiment is just from an old set I have and use quite often! I

Shaping it Up on the Crazy Challenge

Image
It's a new challenge over at CCH and this week it's all about the shaped cards!  We would like to see some fun and unique shapes, anything that isn't your typical square/rectangle traditional.  Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and they have some fabulous images, some of which we got to play with.  Here's my card for this week The shape was cut out using one of my cricut cartridges ( A Child's Year I believe, very versatile).  I punched the butterflies using one of my cuttlebug dies and added a few bits of bling to liven them up.  The image was colored with my copics and the DP was just from my stash.  I have been introduced to flocking! I picked some up on sale at my LSS and love it, so the bunny's ears and her eggs are flock! Way cool!  I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the challenge blog and enter this week's challenge! Entered into the following challenges: The Crafty Pad: use a digi I Did It Creations: Welcome Spring Al

It's a Lacy Thing

Image
Good morning everyone!  It's challenge day at Lollipop Crafts and this week it's all about the lace!  Such a pretty dainty thing and we'd like to see what you can do with it on your projects.  It can be actual lace, lace punches, lacy borders whatever you can come up with.  All of the deets can be found on our challenge blog so please stop by and enter.  I can't wait to see what you create and the design team as well as our two guest designers this month have created some gorgeous projects for you! So here is my dainty little piece. I have no idea why I decided to do a Christmas card.  I think it's because I had that embossed piece of cardstock and really wanted to use it up.  I had seen an all white card in a magazine I picked up recently and loved the look of it so I knew I wanted to try that as well.  So this is what I came up with.  The cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The lace is actually cut off from a big sheet of it that I found when

A Floral Thank You with Sarah Hurley

Image
So today's marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT.  Our theme this week is Flowers... Without further adieu here is mine... (shout out to Lori Padberg .  It was one of her creations that inspired mine.  I loved the simple look of it) I used some digital paper & sentiment from Sarah's line which can be found here . The flower is from my stash and I just inked it up a bit with some red ink.  I did some die cutting as well for the flowers and used the spellbinders to showcase the flower.  And of course some embossing using the fleur de lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  A really simple card but I quite like it.  Make sure you stop by the Sarah Hurley challenge blog to get your own flower entries in!  We can't wait to see them! I've entered into the following challenges: Anything Goes Challenge Blog : diecuts Creative Craft Challenge: thank you Desert Island Crafters: use 3 items from the itinerary ( 2PP, distressing, inspired by nature) Ginge

ARRR Matey

So today Sarah Hurley is releasing a new set of digi stamps...and it's all about the Pirates! These stamps are colored and plain for those that like to feel like a kid again and color your own. So the Design Team was asked to come up with some projects highlighting the new line (which by the way you can find here ). Now normally, I'm not really the type of person to create something digitally and then just print it off. I usually like to get my hands dirty, so I thought I would blend the two. I took some of the images and put a scene together that I would then make into an invitation. All the images on this are found in the new collection. I then printed it out onto some Kraft cardstock and then just proceeded to distress it...I ripped first then went over it with the distressing tool, and then I inked it with my ever loving Tim Holtz distress inks in Old Paper and Walnut Stain. I love how it turned out!! All the printing I did using a font on my computer. I hope you

It's a Lovely Lady Vintage

Image
Welcome to Monday! It's challenge day at The Crazy Challenge and this week, we're looking for all the lovely ladies out there!  I must be on a vintage kick, which for me is surprising, because I never really thought of myself as the vintage type..anyway, here is my card. The image is downloaded from the internet (I really wish I had a stash of vintage images from a book or something). The music sheet is left over from a Tim Holtz Christmas Tag..it was printed out onto vellum and then inked and distressed to give it a vintagy feel.  The bling, pearl strand, ribbons and flowers are all from my stash. Make sure you stop by the Crazy Challenge Blog to check out all the details on this week's challenge.  We're being sponsored by Hobbismo and there is a great prize to be won! I've entered into the following challenges: Aly's Sunday Challenge : Anything Goes Allsorts: Card for a Teenager (I'd like to think that there is a teenager out there somewhere

Vintage Tag for St. Pattys (Challenge Masters DT)

Image
Hey there...so my last tag challenge as the Tag Diva for Challenge Masters, is to create a green tag..it can be any subject as long as it is mainly green...you can check out all the deets here by the way... So this is the one I created. I colored my tag using Pine Needles, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks with a little Vintage Photo thrown in. I had printed off a vintage pic from the internet because I really don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day images. I used the vintage photo on it as well and then the rest of the tag was just made using some bits and bobs from my stash. The DP is some BG I've been using for other projects..The flower I inked up a bit to blend it with the tag and same with the lacy ribbon on the bottom (it was originally beige). I hope you like it and stop over and join our challenges this week as well! This is entered into the following challenges: Aly's Sunday Challenge : Anything Goes Corrosive Challenge: Going Green
