Pretty In Pink

Happy Friday! So glad for the weekend.  It's a long weekend here in Canada but since I'm working and DH is on call, it's not really a celebration for us. It does mean that we are celebrating a new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our challenge for you~ Inspired by a Song~.  This is one of my favorite challenges.....I chose a song that is also one of my favorite movies as well PRETTY IN PINK I'm such a sucker for 80's flicks! Here is the card that I created for the challenge this week. DP-stash (no idea who it is by as I've been trying to use up stray pieces) Image: our wonderful sponsor Bugaboo! Ink & Stickles: Tim Holtz (both are spun sugar) Die: spellbinders Ribbon: from my stash Eyelets: from my stash Make sure you stop by the blog and play along as well as check out the other great creations this week.

Hi Everyone! Another quick post today for our challenge at Creative Corner Challenges. It's been so busy with work and my son ill again (an infection in his finger this time and some visits to the doctor and chiropracter to help with a gait issue) that it's amazing I've had time to craft this week! Our challenge is Clean and Simple also known as CAS.  This is a challenge to use less and less embellishments and papers on your project.  The least amount the better.  This is always a challenge for me because I love to embellish.  However, I am thrilled with how this card turned out.  I used a sketch in the March/April issue of Papercrafts magazine  and its just a fabulous one. I just used a couple of scraps of paper in my basket and the butterflies were sent to me in a swap.  They were regular corrugated cardboard and I misted them with my smooch spritzes!  The pearls are from my stash and the sentiment is K Andrew Designs I hope you like it.  Please

Waiting on you

Good morning!  I think Spring may actually be poking through now.  It has been the longest winter ever! With Mother's Day fast approaching here in North America, our theme Flowers for Mom is what's up this week at Use it Tuesday.   A time to celebrate those women in our lives who were the big influence.   Maybe it wasn't your mom, but your grandma, or perhaps an aunt or any other female who was like a Mother to you. I have a layout for you today that highlights my pregnancy with Riley and how crazy I was waiting for him to come out.  In case you didn't know he was 41+4 when I finally went into labour.  I felt like I was pregnant forever!!! That's my belly a couple weeks or so before he was born and then a pic of him a couple of days old!  All the product is from my stash, so I'm not entirely sure I know where they came from.  I hope that you enjoy the layout and please stop by the blog to see the other gorgeous projects the DT created this week.

Rainbows

Image
Happy Friday everyone! The ending of another week..woohooo!!  We have a new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's all about Rainbows.  You can have an actual rainbow, rainbow colors or however you wish to interpret it as long as we can see how the rainbow is represented in your project. Here's the fun card I made this week. I used a big background stamp for the image and stamped each line in a different color of the rainbow.  The ribbon is American Crafts and the sentiment is just from my stash.  A really simple yet (I think) pretty card. Make you stop by the blog and check out the other DT inspiration for you this week and to join in our challenge. Entered into these challenges: Baffies Kreativladen: April weather Fab n Funky: spring colors Papercraft Star: use a stamp Make my Monday: create your own background Crafting when we can: name that tune (inspired by somewhere over the rainbow)

A sticky challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It has been a long week in my house as my son has been sick again.  He just got over his ear infection and then he got hand/foot/mouth disease.  He's been cooped up inside for awhile now and he's going stir crazy and so is his mama! :) We have a great new challenge for you at Use It Tuesday this week.  It's a Sticky situation when we want you to use the sticky parts of your stash...those rub-ons (oh do I have a lot of those), embossing powders and stickers (everyone has some in their stash, I know it!)..or anything else that sticks.... I created this card using some Glubbers...I bought them 2 years ago when they first came out and never once used them!  I also used a couple of different rub ons for this card in the sentiment and the little stitches.  I also broke out my glue gun and used it to adhere the bling to the flower! I'm now using my glue gun for EVERYTHING! LOL The DP is the last of my MME All Spice 6x6 pack.  Another one bi

sunshiney day

That unfortunately does not seem to be something that we are going to have here in Calgary today.  It's still a bit cloudy and cool today.  The last vestiges of winter are still lingering around.  I wish they would just go already. Today's challenge at Use it Tuesday is All About Spring.  It's time to break out the flowers, the bright colors, the sunshine, all the good stuff.  As always you need to use up some of your stash so make sure you let us know in your post what you used. I finally have used up all of the Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper so here is my final project.  The stamp set is one from my stash that I don't use enough by My Favorite Things.  It comes with its own sentiment as well.  I just used my spellbinders and inked it up with some Tim Holtz ink.  The bling is from my stash as well. I hope you like it. entered into these challenges; party time tuesday: anything goes bunny zoe : girly by the cute and girly: my favorite things (bling

Just for you

It's Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me.  I've not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy. I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges.   My theme this week is layers.  The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week's mystery prize.  I'm not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it's a good one. Here's my fun card for you this week.  Again I was using up my scraps from my Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper.  I am happy to announce that I have one more project to show you next week and then it is finally finished! Yay! That only took me 4 years to go through! I thought I was doing so well finishing up a paper pack finally and then I find out today that I won 4 paper packs by Basic Grey...**sigh** I can't win for losing but I'm not really complaining :) Ok..card.. My second week sponsoring the Creative Corner Challenge this week.  Our challenge is to use fasteners...buttons, eyelets, brads etc. Lately I have been trying to use up my Little Sprout kit that I bought way back in 2009.  So expect to see a bunch of cards/layouts in the coming weeks using it up.  I finally got through it all. :0 I used a sketch from a sketch challenge at CanadianScrapSwap Chat this week.  Lots of fun banners and flags. :) I used everything from my stash this week.  Buttons, bling, ribbon and paper :) Make sure you stop by the blog this week to enter the challenge for a chance to win the prize I have up for grabs today. Happy Tuesday.  We have a new challenge at Use It Tuesday for you this week.   With the theme of punch out we would like you to use your punches and/or dies. I have a layout for you this week.  It's actually a re-purposed one.  I had done it a few years ago and then decided I didn't like it.  So I redid it for this challenge.  I used a punch to make the film strip for the pictures.  The stickers were from the original layout as well.  I am not sure who the paper is by as it is from my stash. Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the other great design team projects that have been created for you this week.

St. Patrick's Day

Image
It's all about the green this week at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's my month to host and with St. Patrick's Day coming up my challenge this week is Go Green.  You have to have something green on your project.  An easy challenge to be sure, so I hope many people sign up.  I'm even offering a little prize this week. Here's my card for this week's challenge.   Surprisingly, with St. Pat's being one of my favorite holidays (purely for the green factor) I don't have a lot of St. Pat's stuff.  I had green paper but nothing to go with it.  I printed off this image from Bugaboo Stamps as it was offered as a freebie although now I think it is for purchase in the store, thank goodness and the shamrock i cut out using my Cricut.  This is a really simple and flat card because it's doing double duty.  Not only is it for this challenge but I need to mail it out for a St. Patrick's day swap on Swap-bot.com.  The paper was all from my stash and I

Have I mentioned how much I hate doing income tax???Argh! It's driving me crazy. Anyway, Red Carpet Studios has a new challenge on their blog that I have been meaning to get to and so here's a layout I created. The challenge is based on the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and so the challenge is to use one or more buttons on your project.  Surprisingly, I have not seen this movie yet...should probably check it out on Netflix. Here is a layout using my favorite subject of course.  Taken a year or so ago, just playing in the backyard, looking at everything, ever inquisitive. I hope you like it.  Everything is from my stash.  I cannot remember the name of the DP set I used for this one.  I just remember it had the name garden in the title.  That's how long it has been in my stash. LOL Entered into these challenges as well Can you Dig it : Little Ones Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges : for the boys Crafting When we Can: Earth, Air, Fire Water (must have

Happy Friday! So happy it's the weekend, even if I don't really have anything planned. Just sharing with you our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our last one for February hosted by Tina.  Next month I will be hosting the challenges and offering some great weekly prizes so make sure you check in each week. A super easy challenge this week, we just want to see some designer paper on your project.  It can be old, new, one or two.  Head over to the blog to link up and to see what the DT has for you this week. Here is mine for you this week, a cute little baby card.  Since I am on a buying freeze right now, everything on this card is from my stash.  The paper is sooo old.  It is from Hot off The Press's 8x8 baby kit.  The image was from a swap I did ages ago and the sentiment sticker I've had for ages.  It was fun to make a 5x5 card this time instead of my usual 4.25x5.5.  I hope you like it.  Entered into these challenges: 7 Kids College

Yikes...it has been a long time since I have posted on here.  I've mostly been using my other blog on wordpress but I am going to try to keep this one updated as well so bare with me.  If you are interested in any previous posts, check out http://tampatha.wordpress.com which is the other blog. Inspired by a post I saw on a blog today (I'll try and find the post for you later because it was a great idea for cards), I created this card for the challenge at Red Carpet Studios this week. Inspired by The Wedding Singer (A movie I myself have not yet seen, hard to believe I know, considering how much of a movie whore I am, but I am not a fan of Adam Sandler), the challenge is to create a wedding or anniversary card. Here's mine... I went for non-traditional colors on this one and I think it could really be used for either wedding or anniversary which is always great. Everything on this card is from my stash.  The cardstock is Co-ordinations.  I used my Leafy Branch em
