A Love Song

February is the month of love.  We celebrate love in all its forms and shapes.....one of those is the love a mother has for her child!

I had wanted to have a child for a long time, so when I found out that I was pregnant with my son, my heart began to overflow with love...before he was even born!  I didn't even know I could love someone so much that I had never met!

This week at Use Your Stuff, we are being inspired by a love song!  The love song that I chose was called Baby Mine by Bette Midler from the Beaches Soundtrack - one of my all time favorite movies!  In the movie, that song is playing as one of the main characters is getting ready for the birth of her baby and they are decorating the nursery...I new I wanted to use it for the inspiration for my layout.

My favorite line is:  Baby mine, don't you cry.
                          Baby mine, dry your eyes.
                          Rest your head close to my heart,
                          Never to part, baby of mine.

The pictures in this layout were taken about a week before my son was born and then about a week after...it felt like I was waiting forever, but oh was he worth it!  He is still one of the things that I love the absolute most in this world!

Is it Tuesday already?  Have you been to the  Tuesday Morning Sketches blog y et?  Our new sketch is there…. I didn’t want to do a flower for my card, and that’s the great thing about a sketch..you can interpret it the way that you want that fits your style.  I’ve had this Doodlebug Doodlepop sitting on my desk forever and I finally wanted to use it! Vintage Tag for St. Pattys (Challenge Masters DT)

Hey there...so my last tag challenge as the Tag Diva for Challenge Masters, is to create a green tag..it can be any subject as long as it is mainly green...you can check out all the deets here by the way... So this is the one I created. I colored my tag using Pine Needles, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks with a little Vintage Photo thrown in. I had printed off a vintage pic from the internet because I really don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day images. I used the vintage photo on it as well and then the rest of the tag was just made using some bits and bobs from my stash. The DP is some BG I've been using for other projects..The flower I inked up a bit to blend it with the tag and same with the lacy ribbon on the bottom (it was originally beige). Box it, Gift it

Hey there.  It's another new challenge on Lollipop Crafts this week and we are looking for your boxes or gifts. Okay..this is not something I normally make but I did have a good time doing it.  A big thank you to Angie Kennedy Juda aka Chicnsratch on Youtube for her tutorial as that's what I used for my project this week.
