Thinking of Fall

Image
Hello!  Our sponsor this week for Penny's is Paper Creator   (the winner this week gets a £10 credit to the store)  and I just knew I wanted to use this fun image!  I don't have a lot of fall/autumn images and Noah is just too darn cute.  I also knew that I had some fun autumn DP in my stash that I received in a swap that I really wanted to use with it! Now this image is pre-colored because we all know my coloring skills leave a lot to be desired. The sentiment is from a bunch of new goodies I received from Vicki Boutin.  They are from her fun line with American Crafts.  I punched out some maple leaves with my punch out of some of the DP and cardstock.   I also had a little yellow leaf that I got in a swap ages ago. I hope you like the card and be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you.

Welcome everyone!  It's Wednesday so hop on over to Penny's blog today and check out our new Anything Goes challenge week.  Our fun sponsors this week are Cute as a Button Prize - 2 single image from their store and also Crafty Sentiments Prize -3 digis of winners choice My card today is using a Crafty Sentiments image...I thought she was just adorable. I colored her with my copics and just used some Stampin Up DP that was sent to me in a swap.  The butterflies were also from a swap. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz (I believe) Thanks for stopping by and see you over on the blog with your own creations for this week!

Bright & Beautiful

Hooray for Friday!  Weekend! So sad that we are down to our final weekends of the summer :( Ok it's my team's week at Brown Sugar and our sponsor this week is My Besties! We have a really fun color challenge for you this week! Look how bright this is!! Just perfect for your summer projects! So for my card this week, I dabbled in some watercoloring.  I say dabbled because I'm not very good at it, but it was fun to play!  I used my Sakura Create watercolor markers as well as some copics and a few of the distress oxide inks! My DP is from My Minds Eye - an older collection called Notable.  I also just added a few little sequins for that pop of red. I hope you will join us over on the blog this week.  Play along, let us see what you can create with these colors and check out what the rest of the Design Team has created for you!

Scrappy Fun

Happy weekend all!  It's a long weekend here in Canada, but unfortunately, I have to work so no camping for me. BOO!  I have been hard at work clearing off my scrap space as I am preparing to make a schwack of cards for Ronald McDonald House in BC as part of a group in Splitcoaststampers.  Anyway..I've had this pile of scraps and bits and bobs on my desk FOREVER because I didn't want to throw them out until I tried to use them up a bit. I wanted to share with you a few of the card I made with the scraps & die cuts and some inspiration from Pinterest. Entered into these challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges: Summer fun Sweet Stampin Challenge : Summer fun Simply Papercraft: Anything Goes Entered into these challenges: Crafting with an Attitude: anything goes Through the Purple Haze : anything goes CraftaholicsRus - Die Cuts I hope you like them! Celebrate Everyday!

So just thought you might like to know...today is my first project for the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge!  Yep, I am now on the Design Team...yay!!  I am very excited to be working with these great group of ladies... Today's challenge is sponsored by BUGABOO STAMPS who are giving away 4 digi imagesof the winner's choice! and also another great sponsor DI'S DIGISTAMPS  who will be giving the winner a $12 Gift Certificate for the store to do some shopping!  Here is the card I created using a fun summer image from Bugaboo!                                                       How fun is this guy!  I paired him up with the Summer Fun collection from Fancy pants that I have been trying to use up, so it worked perfectly!  I colored him with my copics and then cut him out.  It's really hard to tell from the picture but his cool shades and his floaty both have some glossy accents! I hope you will come play along with our Anything Goes challeng

It's Coffee Time - UYS Challenge

Image
Ok, so I'm not really a big coffee drinker unless it's a Tim Horton's ice cap, but I really love the Tim Holtz coffee embossing folder when paired with the Stampin Up Perfect Blend stamp set. Our challenge at Use Your Stuff this week is dry embossing, so this is perfect!  I also used my Susan K. Weckesser Colorbox  color pop inks that I won from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. ..OMG these things are so juicy! I LOVE THEM! If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend them! I also got the Becky Higgins Project Life Fuse Tool for my birthday and have been having some fun with that. I decided to make a small shaker using real coffee!  It's almost like a scratch and sniff card :) I hope you like it and will play along with us at UYS this week!

Go Green

Image
Hello all.... Green is my favorite color so I love ST. Patrick's Day.  However, I don't have a lot of supplies for the day so I don't make a lot of cards. I did give it a shot with some old stuff I had in my holiday box.  The paper is from Reminisce and some Imagination Project from 2005.  I don't even think they are around anymore. The image is a freebie that I got from Miss Kate Cuttables called Happy Pot O Gold :)  I just did a flatten in my design space. The ribbon is just from Michaels and the stamp is from Stampin Up (Greatest Greetings) I created this for the Paper Play Sketches challenge this week.

Mojo Monday # 486

Image
Hello All, Playing along with Mojo Monday's sketch today! This sketch is pretty layer heavy which for me is great because I love layers. I have a big box of loose papers, some that are mine, and some that I got from swaps and such.  I really wanted to start getting this box down, so I used some papers for this challenge.  I don't know where they are from as I think I got them in a swap. I made two cards, basically the same but with a slight variation.  I hope you like it and don't forget to play along! DP: Unknown Cardstock: Recollections Sequins: stash Stamps: Stampin' Up Twine:  Maya Road Die Cuts:  Spellbinders Embossing Folder:  Darice I've entered into these other challenges as well Crafting from the heart:  Anything goes Ooh La La Creations:  Embossing (Wet or Dry)

Let's Play Bingo

Image
Hello all! I am hosting this week's challenge at  Use Your Stuff  and we are playing BINGO!  I've created a fun bingo card to use on your project (a great way to get the MOJO going as well if you are stuck!).  Here's the card , there are lots of fun items to play with.  Here is the card I created using the horizontal line of red, die cuts/cut aparts, hearts and doily The DP is from American Crafts XOXO collection. The doily, die cuts and white foam heart are from recollections and the glittered hearts I cut using some Recollections glitter paper and my little $$ store heart punch.  I hope you like it and hop on over to the  blog  to play along and to see what the rest of the DT has created for you!
